Risk Assessment

Our risk assessment course aimed at all staff members within your organisation.

The aim of risk assessment training is to ensure you comply with your company’s legal responsibility and ensuring both your staff and business are protected.

This course will cover

  • Definition of a ‘hazard’

  • Difference between a ‘risk’ and a ‘hazard’

  • How to use a risk assessment tool to assess risk

  • How to complete a risk assessment form

  • Identify the Legislation relevant to risk assessment

  • Explain the meaning of the term ‘risk assessment’

Mental health awareness

Our mental health awareness course is aimed at senior staff responsible for the wellbeing of colleagues and staff.

The course teaches Managers/Supervisor how to recognise and understand some of the most common signs, symptoms and behaviours of mental health conditions in the workplace. This course also raises awareness of the stress response and how that response impacts on mental health.

This course covers

  • Understand the stigma that surrounds mental health;

  • Increase awareness of their own attitudes to mental health and illness;

  • Improve their understanding of the way stress impacts on mental health;

  • Recognise and understand some of the most common signs, symptoms and behaviours of mental health conditions in the workplace;

  • Gain the confidence to deal with staff who may be experiencing mental health problems;

  • Understand their legal requirements within the 2010 Equality Act.

EmploYABILITY

Our employabiliy courses are aimed at individuals who have been out of work for a significant period of time and/or have long-term health conditions that have presented a barrier to employment in the past.

 

The aim of this course is to explore a range of health and wellbeing topics along side emplyment skills with a view to regaining confidence, and inner belief.

Our digital skills course is aimed at clients who have limited or no knowledge, skills or confidence using computers of any kind.

 

The aim of this course is to provide tailored help to those who require digital skills training, we providing participants with the basic navigation skills for job seeking.

STRESS IN THE WORKPLACE

Our stress in the workplace course is  designed for Line Managers/supervisors of those responsible for colleagues within an organisation 

The aim of this course is to gain a deeper understanding of how stress can affect the workforce and gain confidence in dealing with situations which may arise from a symptoms of stress.

Our stress in the workplace course covers

Our Equality and Diversity course is suitable for workplaces of any size who are keen to ensure they are acting responsibly towards equality and diversity.

The aim of this course is to educate employees on the proper way to treat people of different backgrounds. Equality and Diversity Training Course will teach  different ways to maintain Equality& Diversity within the work place

Our Equality and Diversity course covers

  • You will have a solid understanding of prejudice, stereotyping & discrimination.

  • Be able to identify what the 9 key strands of the Equality Act 2010

  • Protected characteristics.

Leadership and management

Our leadership and management courses are aimed at staff with current management responsibilities and no formal training or managers needed additional support.

The aim of this course is to develop practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management as well as current managers who need to lead colleagues through organisational change, budget cuts or other work related pressures. We can cover level 4, 5 and 6 in Leadership and Management to suit the individual and business.

PARENTAL EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT

"Every Child, Every Chance" is the first Tackling Child Poverty Delivery Plan due under the Child Poverty (Scotland) Act 2017.


With extensive experience of delivering a range of interventions to parents, including lone parents, we tailor support and provide help through an employability and wellbeing key worker approach in two main areas.


1. Person-centred help to address parents barriers to work, which might include career coaching, health and wellbeing support, money advice or motivational support.


2. Help meeting the increasing challenge of in-work poverty, targeting in-work support to help parents already in jobs to remain in the workplace and gain
progression through a rewarding career.
